Steph started as a student nurse when Great Ashby opened in December 2008, and became qualified in 2010 from The College of Animal Welfare. Steph became our head nurse in 2018 with a keen interest in nursing in our dog ward and undertaking schedule 3 procedures.

Hannah Saggers FdSc RVN
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Hannah has been working here since graduating from Nottingham Trent University in 2011. She has a special interest in medical nursing, particularly nutrition and weight clinics.
Hannah has two cats at home, Leo and Ellie who were both brought to Roebuck as strays.

Samantha Smith BSc (Hons) RVN
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Sammy studied to become a veterinary nurse at the Royal Veterinary College and qualified in 2014 with a BSc Honours degree in veterinary nursing. She began working for us in 2016 and is now one of the senior veterinary nurses at our practice.
She has a cocker spaniel named Willow and has a passion for working in dog ward at the veterinary hospital, with a particular focus on medicine cases.

Julie Amass RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Julie studied her nursing whilst at Roebuck and qualified in 2002 with The College of Animal Welfare. In that time Julie has helped in many areas of the practice including as a dispensary assistant. Julie is looking forward to doing her Schedule 3 training.
At home Julie rescued a cat through Roebuck called Chumley, and a spaniel called Hugo.

Registered Veterinary Nurse
Chelsea started here in 2016 as a Kennel Assistant. She qualified in 2020 from The College of Animal Welfare. Chelsea is interested in Anaesthesia, Surgical Nursing and Diagnostic Imaging.
She has a 5 year old chocolate labradoodle called Killian.

Georgia Bruce RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Georgia trained at Goddard veterinary nursing college in 2021 and has recently become qualified. She joined Roebuck earlier in 2022. Georgia enjoys anaesthesia and all aspects of nursing.
At home she has a border collie called Blaze and a 21 year old cat called Macie.

Helen King RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse, Night Team
Helen qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1998 and started her CVS journey in 2011, later joining the roebuck team as a night nurse in 2017. As a night nurse Helen enjoys emergencies and the maintenance care of the inpatients.
In her spare time Helen enjoys long walks with her Romanian rescue collie cross Bentley.

Jo Perkins RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse, Night Team
Jo is one of the night nurses at Great Ashby. She started working here in 2021 and looks after hospitalised in-patients. Jo graduated from the College of West Anglia in 2018 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing and Applied Animal Behaviour. Her area of interest is in Emergency Critical Care, but she enjoys all areas of nursing.
She has a spaniel cross called Logan who enjoys going for walks and showing off his toys.

Jessica Perry RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Jess trained at a practice in North London and joined Roebuck in 2009. She enjoys emergency and critical care cases and analgesia.
In her spare time Jess looks after her two cats, Marmite and Blaze and walking her crazy border terrier Maverick.

Michaela Puddephatt RVN MHFA
Registered Veterinary Nurse, Night Team
Michaela joined our night team in April 2022. She qualified from MTC in 2017. She has a keen interest in emergency care and out of hours, neonatal care and mental health within the veterinary industry.
She has 2 rescue cats, Maisie a rescue from her first practice and Milo a hand rear she took on at 3 weeks old. In her spare time Michaela enjoys training and teaching her cats new tricks.

Chloe Rochester RVN

Chloe started with us in 2016 as a receptionist before qualifying as an RVN in May 2021. Chloe enjoys nurse consults and is looking forward to carrying out her Schedule 3 training.
She has a cheeky Jack Russell called Honey.

Isabelle Sikora BSc MSc RVN ISFMDipFN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Isabelle joined us at Roebuck in April 2021 having qualified from The College of Animal Welfare in August 2019. Isabelle has a special interest in feline medicine and behaviour, and enjoys running nurse consults. She also loves exotic pets and is keen on nursing any wild animals that we have brought into the surgery.
Isabelle has two rescue cats: Liliana and Hylia, whom she has had since they were kittens.

Lab technician and Insurance
Jane started nursing in 1981 and became a qualified nurse from the Royal Veterinary College in 2001. Jane works in our lab and processes insurance claims.
She enjoys riding her two horses Hugo and William and walking her bouncy rescue dog Harry.

Joining the team in October 2020 Leah started her nursing course with The College of Animal Welfare in January 2021. She enjoys ward nursing and anaesthetics.

Katie joined Roebuck in August 2020 and started her nursing course in the September of the same year. She has a keen interest in all exotics, and hopes to specialise in exotics and equine.
In her spare time Katie enjoys looking after her many pets, including her horse Charlie Brown, rescue dogs Teddy and Peggy, three cats and six birds.

Amanda started in August 2019 studying at The College of Animal Welfare. She enjoys being a ward nurse, nursing all species with a keen interest in exotics.

Nikki joined the team in June 2021 and started her nursing course with The College of Animal Welfare. She has a degree in zoology and is keen to work on exotics.

Patient Care Assistant
Marcus chose Roebuck as his work placement whilst still at college. In 2021 he qualified in Animal Management then started as a patient care assistant with Roebuck a month later. His main interests are patient care, and looking after and caring for the strays.
At home Marcus has a large collection of pets including invertebrates, reptiles, a rescue cat Ollie and a dog called Meka.

Ellie joined the team in 2022 and enjoys helping the nurses to care for the patients. Ellie is looking forward to starting her nursing later this year.
