Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
Helen qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010 and joined the Roebuck as clinical director in December 2017. She has a keen interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and emergency and critical care.
Outside of work she is kept busy with her three dogs, five cats, horse, tortoise, eight chickens and seven ducks. She regularly competes her horse at the weekends.

Nigel Tao BSc BVSc MRCVS
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Nigel qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2015 and since has been working at Roebuck Veterinary Group. He especially enjoys surgery.
At home he has three dogs called Bear, Soleil, and Poppy as well as one cat called Orion. In his spare time Nigel enjoys playing sports (football and badminton), eating and travelling.

Charlotte Winterburn BVetMed MRCVS
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Charlotte has been with Roebuck since she graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2018. She enjoys the variety of cases which general practice has to offer, particularly enjoying dermatology and dentistry.
Charlotte has two dogs, Millie and Stanley, and a cat called Steve.

Chloe Cross BVMSci MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
After graduating from the University of Surrey in 2019, Chloe joined Roebuck Veterinary Group and has been here since. She enjoys all aspects of first opinion practice and is currently studying for a certificate in small animal general practice.
In her spare time Chloe partakes in agility with her working cocker spaniel, Merlot.

Ben Love BSc BVSc MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Ben graduated from the University of Bristol in 2021 and started at Roebuck the same year. He enjoys working with clients and their pets, and is looking forward to developing his skills at the hospital to become a well-rounded clinician.
In his free time Ben likes to unwind by visiting museums and drawing. At home Ben has a Labrador Rosie who enjoys lots of cuddles.

Tom McGregor BVMedSci BVM BVS MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Tom graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 and joined the Roebuck team shortly after. He has a keen interest in surgery and emergency and critical care.
When Tom’s not working he enjoys playing tennis and looking after his extensive collection of house plants. At home Tom has a 2 year old English springer spaniel called Buddy.

Dr Susan Playle BVSc (Hons) MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Susan graduated from University of Queensland, Australia in 1991. Following graduation she undertook a large animal internship at University of Guelph, Canada. She moved to the UK in 1993 and worked at various mixed animal practices before joining Roebuck in 1997. Susan enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary practice.
She currently has two cats and two adult children still at home. She enjoys running, cycling and going to the gym and travelling. Susan is primarily based at our Roebuck site.

Clare Low BVetMed CertAVP GSAS MRCVS
Visiting Vet - Peripatetic Surgeon
Clare graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009, she has since worked in small animal practice. In April 2019 she completed her Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice in General Small Animal surgery.
She then joined the Advanced Clinical Services Network, allowing her to focus solely on surgical patients. She now enjoys a wide variety of cases ranging from complex orthopaedic and soft tissue cases to aiding our Great Ashby vets in more routine surgeries. Clare works across many sites, roaming from Norfolk through to Hertfordshire.
Outside of work Clare enjoys spending time with her husband, children and menagerie of animals. With two dogs, a cat and some guinea pigs to keep her busy she still enjoys finding time to emulate bake off with her daughter and stand on the side-lines of the football pitch watching her son. Occasionally she hops on her road bike to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Liz Tilson BVSc ESVPS GPCertSAM MRCVS
Visiting Vet - Locum Veterinary Surgeon
Liz graduated from Liverpool University in 1983 and retired in 2021 after working at Roebuck for 34 years. She enjoys both medicine and surgery and is doing further qualifications in feline practice, as well as treating exotic species.
She owns three cats and three dogs. Liz enjoys walking her dogs and windsurfing. Liz locums at both of our practices for both surgery and consultations.
