In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 01438 745833 (Great Ashby) or 01438 354599 (Roebuck) and you will be advised what to do next.
To provide excellent continuity of care, and to help minimise worry in stressful situations, we are open seven days a week and provide our own 24-hour emergency care for clients registered with the Roebuck Veterinary Group and clients of Woolpack Vets. We are here for your unwell pet at any time, should the need arise.
Our Great Ashby Veterinary Hospital is manned 24-hours a day by registered veterinary nurses and one of our own veterinary surgeons is on-call to take care of patients in the hospital and for emergency appointments.
We are also the only RCVS accredited veterinary hospital in the Stevenage area so are therefore very proud to be able to offer this service to our clients.
Out of hours emergency
If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact our Great Ashby out of hours telephone number on 01438 746550.
On phoning the emergency number, your call will be answered by one of our qualified nurses.
Please give our nurse your name, address, contact number, the name of your pet and a brief description of the problem. They will give you instructions and contact the on duty veterinary surgeon, if appropriate, who will in turn contact you or agree to meet you at our hospital.
Please do not come straight to the surgery without telephoning us first. By phoning us in advance we may be able to give you important advice on caring for your pet before reaching the surgery and better ensure we are ready to receive you and attend to your pet more effectively and efficiently.
